Acting Career and Stardom

Hamal began his career in acting with “Yug Dekhi Yug Samma” in 1991. The film was a critical and commercial success and gave him unbelievable exposure. He began landing roles after roles and quickly became the go-to star for directors and producers during the late 1990s and early 2000s of Nepalese cinema. Some of these notable movies in his resume are Kasam (1993), Deuta (1993), Chor (1998), Ek Number Ko Pakhe (1999), Basanti (2000) and Hami Tin Bhai (2004).

With more than 27 years of acting experience in around 300 movies under his belt, Rajesh Hamal is a triumph in his own. This eminence is mostly arrayed by series of his spectacular awards and accolades- he has been nominated for 101 movie awards and won in 86 of them. He has also won multiple National Film Awards throughout his long-established career.
